Daesung of the iconic K-pop group Big Bang is gearing up for his solo tour in Japan in April.

The artist -- also known as D-Lite by his Japanese fans -- will be kicking off his Japanese tour “D-Lite Japan Dome Tour 2017” at the Seibu Prince Dome in Saitama on April 14 and 15, and heading to the Kyocera Dome in Osaka on April 23 to 23, according to his management agency YG Entertainment on Sunday. The tour is expected to draw some 200,000 concertgoers to the two cities.

Before releasing his first Japanese solo album “D’scover” in 2014, the 27-year-old singer held his first solo tour across 20 cities in the country in 2013. The upcoming concert series is his first Japanese dome tour without the rest of Big Bang.

Celebrating its 10th debut anniversary this year, Big Bang is currently on its Japanese group tour, holding 16 concerts across four cities.

Meanwhile, the five-member act is also getting ready to unveil its much-anticipated studio album “M.A.D.E” on Dec. 12, and to kick off a two-day concert, taking place at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Gocheok-dong, Seoul on Jan. 7 and 8.
