A subway station employee was busted for taking videos of women inside the station’s toilets.

The man, 28, had worked at the Gangnam Subway Station since 2013. Although he had been reported for suspicious acts on multiple occasions in the past, he was only arrested after being caught in the act while filming through the gap between the floor and the toilet partition in February.

The victim, 25, said she spotted the camera lens pointing up at her from the ground and let out a scream which her boyfriend heard from outside the bathroom and witnessed the man in subway uniform running out.

The couple protested at the station office, but the man claimed he had only entered the women’s bathroom to fill in the toilet supplies.

He had removed the sim card from his cell phone, making it impossible to check the photo album. Surveillance cameras revealed no concrete evidence of his crime.

The case investigation was expedited however, when the enraged couple reported the case to the police, who discovered the man had been accused of similar crimes many times in the past.

An emergency arrest of the man revealed more than 60 incriminating videos on his mobile phone.

It was later revealed that the man had an ex-girlfriend who left him upon finding out his crimes and he underwent behavior corrective education programs. He continued to breach the law however, leading to his arrest on Monday.
