1. YoonA & Lee Seung-gi
Girls Generation member YoonA and singer Lee Seung-gi were the first couple to confirm their romance on the first day of this year.
They started dating in September last year, according to Dispatch, which found out about the relationship.
The pair have many things in common. They go to the same college and live in the same neighborhood. They mostly enjoy “car dating,” the news outlet reported.
2. Soo-young & Jung Kyung-ho
The relationship of Girls Generation member Soo-young and actor Jung Kyung-ho was confirmed a few days after YoonA’s romantic news was reported.
Rumors had gone around before that Soo-young and Jung were going out. Both had constantly denied such claims.
The couple, however, admitted their relationship after a local news outlet spotted them on a date.
Soo-young and Jung have been together for more than a year.
3. Tiffany & Nichkhun
Girls Generation member Tiffany and 2PM member Nichkhun started a relationship this year.
With both having lived abroad, they started as friends and grew closer, sources said.
Tiffany spent her childhood in the U.S. while Nichkun is Thai-American.
4. Kim Yu-na & Kim Won-joong
The queen of figure skating Kim Yu-na astonished fans in March after she confirmed that she is seeing hockey player Kim Won-joong.
The pair first met in 2012 when national athletes gathered at a public training center for training. Seeing each other often on the ice for training, they grew closer and fell in love.
Despite a six-year age difference, they built their romantic relationship on having common backgrounds: graduating from the same college and having an “icy” job.
The boyfriend is a renowned ice hockey player who participated on the national ice hockey team and led the team to victory in the 2013 Ice Hockey Competition.
5. Gong Hyo-jin & Lee Jin-wook
Actress Gong Hyo-jin and actor Lee Jin-wook started dating recently after meeting at a Korean film event in New York.
Gong is one year older than Lee.
Both originally started out as a model and consider fashion style important in a partner, new outlets reported.
Gong had dated actor Ryu Seung-bum for a long time, while Lee had gone out with actress Choi Ji-woo.
