차두리, 결혼 5년만에 파경

축구선수 차두리 (33. FC 서울) 씨가 결혼 5년 만에 이혼 절차를 밟게 되었다.

3일 법조계에 따르면, 차 씨는 지난 달 12일 부인 신혜성 (34) 씨를 상대로 서울가정법원에 이혼조정 신청을 냈다고 한다.

이혼조정 신청은 부부가 합의를 통해 이혼하기 위한 절차로서, 조정을 통해 합의에 실패하게 되면 정식 재판이 열릴 수 있다.

차 씨는 지난 2008월 12월 신철호 임피리얼팰리스 호텔 회장의 장녀인 신씨와 결혼해 1남1녀를 두고 있다.

이혼 사유는 밝혀지지 않았으나 일각에서는 장기간 해외생활이 이유가 된 것이 아니냐는 의견이 나오고 있다.

국가대표 출신인 차 씨는 10년간 독일, 영국 등 유럽 클럽에서 활약해오다 최근 한국 프로축구 FC 서울에 입단했다.

Cha Du-ri files for divorce

South Korean footballer Cha Du-ri has filed for divorce from his wife, legal sources said Wednesday.

The 33-year-old defender for FC Seoul applied for divorce mediation with the Seoul family court on March 12 against Shin Hye-seong, his wife of five years.

In divorce mediation, two parties will cooperate with a neutral third party to amicably settle issues such as child custody and financial support. When the parties fail to reach an agreement, a formal divorce trial can take place.
