The contemporary R&B artist Brian McKnight, famed for his hit song “Back at One,” will be back in Seoul to serenade his local fans once again with his silky vocals in an acoustic performance.

After holding concerts in Korea both last year and the year before, McKnight is returning for another night of music and soul at the AX-Korea Hall on Nov. 30.

This multi-talented entertainer is not only a singer, songwriter and producer, but a well-rounded musician playing nine instruments: piano, guitar, bass, drums, percussion, trombone, tuba, flugelhorn and trumpet.

He has released more than 10 albums, which have sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. McKnight currently holds the record for having 16 Grammy Award nominations without a single win.

McKnight has hosted his own radio show, “The Brian McKnight Morning Show,” in Los Angeles, as well as his own weekly late night TV talk show, “The Brian McKnight Show,” along with actress and comedian Kym Whitley.

The New York native began his musical career as a teenager joining his church choir and high school band. At the age of 19, he signed his first recording deal. Then in 1992, he released his self-titled album followed by the hit singles “I Remember You” and “Anytime.” Later in 1999, he released the album “Back at One,” which sold more than 3 million copies.

McKnight, who has a reputation of being wholesome and clean, was recently in the spotlight after revealing his more explicit side. In April, McKnight uploaded a YouTube preview of his new adult mix tape with the track “If You’re Ready to Learn,” which contains sexually explicit lyrics, showing a new side of the musician. The full version of this track has been officially released.

Tickets for McKnight’s upcoming Seoul concert are 99,000 won. For more information, contact 1544-1555.
