Volkswagen Korea recalls nearly 2,900 Passat sedans
Audi Volkswagen Korea, the local importer of German brands Audi and Volkswagen, is recalling nearly 2,900 Passat passenger vehicles because of headlights that may not work properly, the transportation ministry said Thursday.According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, electricity to the car’s low-beam headlights may be cut off due to a faulty connection.The ministry said vibrations of the hood while the car is in motion may also affect the operation of the car’s headlights. Hyundai-Kia’s home market share dips back to 70% range in May

Kia Motors’ May domestic sales down 8.2%
Kia Motors Corp., South Korea’s second-largest automaker, said Monday its domestic sales fell 8.2 percent in May from a year ago due to decreased production at home. Sales of South Korean carmakers remain flat in May
Sales by South Korean automakers remained at a standstill last month from a year earlier, mainly due to fewer working days, data showed Monday. Kia global sales to hit 30m milestone in May
