A newborn boy was abducted from his screaming mother after she was repeatedly shot outside a Texas medical center Tuesday, and the suspected shooter sped off with the infant in a blood-stained Lexus, investigators said.
Montgomery County sheriff's officials said the mother, 28-year-old Kayla Marie Golden, was killed.
Golden was walking to her truck after a checkup with her 3-day-old son, Keegan, when she had an argument with a woman parked next to her, sheriff's Lt. Dan Norris said.
Witnesses said the woman repeatedly shot Golden, took her infant and sped away, hitting the dying mother as she screamed ``My baby!'' and tried to reach into the Lexus, Norris said. They reported hearing as many as seven gunshots and said a man also was in the car, which was blood-stained on the driver's side, Norris said.
Joshua Jesson said he was in the clinic with his girlfriend when he heard gunshots. He said he saw the Lexus next to the truck, then later looked back and saw the car was gone and a woman was lying there.

말다툼하다..엄마 살해하고 생후 3일 된 아기 유괴
미국 텍사스에서 지난 화요일 (현지시각) 3일된 신생아가 유괴당하는 사건이 발생했다. 텍사스의 한 병원 밖에서 유괴범은 아기의 어머니 카일리 마리 골든(28)에게 수 차례 총격을 가하고 아이를 빼앗아 피로 물든 렉서스 차량을 타고 달아났다고 경찰이 전했다.
골든은 태어난지 3일이 된 아들 키간의 검진을 마치고 자신의 트럭으로 걸어가던 중 옆에 주차한 여성과 말다툼을 했다.
목격자들은 범인이 골든을 연속적으로 쏜 후 그녀가 “내 아기!”라고 소리치자 그녀를 치고 신생아를 납치해 달아났다.
현장에서는 적어도 7발의 총성을 들렸으며 또 한 남성이 범인 차량 안에 있었던 것으로 알려졌다.
또 다른 목격자인 조슈아 제슨은 사건 당시 여자친구와 함께 병원에 있었다.
그는 렉서스가 트럭 옆에 서있는 것을 보았으며 다시 돌아봤을 때는 그 차량은 사라지고 한 여성이 바닥에 누워있는 걸 보았다며 “나는 그녀가 그냥 의식을 잃은 줄 알았는데 어떤 사람이 “누군가 총 맞았어.”라는 소릴 들었다.”고 말했다.
