  • 1 stalk spring onion
  • sesame seeds
  • Batter ingredients

  • salt
  • black pepper

Sauce ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)

Instructions:

Cut the tofu into 2-centimeter cubes, season with salt and black pepper, and pat dry with a paper towel.

Roughly chop the peanuts and walnuts, and finely chop the chives. In a bowl, mix all sauce ingredients until well combined.

Coat the tofu pieces evenly with the batter. In a pan, heat a generous amount of cooking oil, then fry the tofu until golden brown. Drain excess oil on a wire rack or paper towels.

In a pan, heat the sauce ingredients over medium heat for about 2 minutes until it thickens. Add the fried tofu, chopped peanuts, and walnuts, and toss to coat evenly. Transfer the chili tofu bites to a plate and garnish with spring onion and sesame seeds.
