In the awarding ceremony, Kwon said he would use the money to help create more jobs. He donated 100 million won each to the National Academy Engineering of Korea, Seoul National University and Postec, a prestigious technology university.

“The essence of a creative economy is job creation and I hope this donation will stimulate more investment in entrepreneurship and jobs for young adults,” Kwon said during the conference.

All three organizations responded to the donation with plans in how the money will be used, such as funding to start-up firms grown by the institutes.
