“Take off all your cover and be naked with sound” is what is written on the teaser cover of the local indie band 10cm’s newly released second album titled “2.0.” The group will unveil their new album via a performance streamed live through Naver Music On Air on Wednesday night.

The soon to be released album has 11 songs including three title tracks: “Fine thank you and you,” “The Farwell of the Han River” and “Tonight,” which has been rated as an adult-only track.

Band members Kwon Jung-yeol and Yoon Cheol-jong are well known for their unique signature acoustic folk sound with Kwon, the main vocalist, who also plays the djembe ― a skin-covered drum that originated in Africa and is played with bare hands.

The band’s most popular songs include “Americano,” “Tonight I’m Afraid of the Dark” and “So Nice,” which all feature an acoustic indie vibe. However, it has been said that on this album, the duo veers from the acoustic and drumming sounds for which they are well known.

It has been nearly two years since the release of their official debut album “1.0.” In 2010 the duo received This Year’s Discovery Award at the 12th Mnet Asian Music Awards and won the Best Pop Single for “Tonight I’m Afraid of the Dark” at the 8th Korean Music Awards the following year.

The performance can be seen online at http://music.naver.com/onair/10cm on Wednesday at 10 p.m.
