Chuncheon, Korail to launch one-stop reservation platform for tourists

Future visitors to the Chuncheon, Gangwon Province area will be able to enjoy an integrated tourism platform, jointly provided by the Chuncheon city government and Korail, starting next month.

The comprehensive package will allow tourists to make reservations of both Gyeongchun line ITX passes, choose from various tourist attractions and pay all at once.

In a response to the growing number of Koreans preferring self-planned trips, Chuncheon and Korail voiced hopes to lure more tourists to the area with the latest one-stop online booking system.

Apart from railway tickets and accomodation options, customers, who use the new system, will be able to browse through a recommended list of experiential tours in the Chuncheon area, all at a discounted price.

Officials have picked four hotels, such as Sejong Hotel and Elysian Gangchon Resort, and seven main tourist spots that includes a luxury camping experience for children and a trip to the region’s famous Nami Island.

The all-in-one platform is slated for launch in mid-July, according to Chuncheon and Korail.
