Baekhyun and Suzy’s new collaboration song, “Dream,” has skyrocketed to No. 1 on eight music charts following its Jan. 7 release.
“Dream” has been garnering attention as a collaboration between EXO’s Baekhyun and Miss A’s Suzy, rising stars of two powerful agencies, SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment, respectively. Such label crossover collaborations are rare in K-pop, but the two agencies were immediately sold on the idea by producer Park Geun-tae when he proposed it, according to a press release.
“Dream” is described as a combination of pop and rhythm and blues infused with jazz and neo soul that has a unique groove and emotional tone. It is a classic love song with a dream-like melody perfectly suited for Baekhyun and Suzy.
“Dream” will be released as a single offline on Jan. 14.
