South Korea’s largest carrier Korean Air introduced new first, prestige class seats and an upgraded entertainment system on its Boeing 777-300ER on Thursday, offering passengers more spacious seats and privacy.

“Korean Air will provide a higher level of service, with the new seats offering customers the ultimate in comfort and space,” a company official said.

For the Kosmo Suites ― first-class seats ― the airline has installed sliding doors in a bid to strengthen passengers’ privacy and increased the width of seats to a bed-mode.

The Prestige Suites offer an armrest which automatically slides down to allow the seat to lie back flat in a bed-mode, which has been increased to a width of 22.5 inches from the previous 21 inches.

The Boeing 777-300ER, used for long-haul flights, includes eight Kosmo Suite seats, 42 Prestige suite seats and economy seats.

The first and prestige class inflight entertainment system will also receive an upgrade. The new suites will be equipped with 24 and 18 inch high resolution touch screens, respectively, and a video panel controller, similar to a smartphone.

While watching films and games, passengers can enjoy an inflight airshow, which includes updated flight information such as the aircraft’s flight path.

The company plans to install the new seats for aircrafts it has on order including B747-8i, B787-9 and A330-300.
