The five-member K-pop group MBLAQ is to hold an exclusive concert in Mexico City on Aug. 8.

The concert titled MBLAQ Mexico 2013 will start at 8 p.m. at Mexico City’s Pepsi Center, allowing the country’s fans to see the singers in person for the first time.

Arirang TV and Mexico’s biggest broadcasting company Televisa are both covering the concert.

During their five-day stay in Mexico, MBLAQ will perform at various venues and make media appearances.

MBLAQ’s hit track “Mona Lisa” topped various charts in the Latin American country upon its release in 2011.

“We are nervous because it is our first time in Mexico, but when we visited Brazil, Peru and Chile, thanks to our fans, we made so many good memories. We look forward to our trip this time as well,” MBLAQ members stated.

“We worked hard on preparations and hope to be of help toward promoting South Korean-Mexican cultural exchanges.”

MBLAQ is planning to release their next album, “Love Beat,” on Aug. 12 upon their return from the Mexico trip.
