A man, living in Pennsylvania, stole a bag of marijuana from a police station.

According to news reports, David Allan Thompson, 27, took the bag, which was kept in the police station as evidence, because of its fragrance.

Thompson went to the station to inform on a case. As he was getting into a patrol room with an officer, he snatched the bag of marijuana from the counter. When Thompson left the station, he met an officer and gave it back to the officer, saying, “I just couldn’t help myself. That bud smelled so good.”

Police said that they found an marijuana pipe in Thompson’s pocket.

He was arrested on charge of theft, receiving stolen property, tempering with or fabricating evidence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
