South Korean singer to do guerilla performance of hit single ’Gangnam Style’

South Korean singer Psy will be holding a guerilla performance of his explosively popular hit single "Gangnam Style" at Seoul’s Gangnam Subway Station intersection Tuesday night at 7 p.m., a representative of the artist’s agency confirmed.

The performance comes on the heels of his concert which attracted a crowd of over 30,000 last Saturday and before a second music video version of “Gangnam Style" with K-pop artist Hyun-a taking the lead is uploaded Wednesday.

News of the impromptu performance went up on Psy’s me2day account on Tuesday morning. The YG Entertainment representative stated that there are no current plans for other celebrities to join Psy tonight.

Psy is also scheduled to depart for the U.S. on Wednesday on a personal trip and to meet with pop singer Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, said the representative.

Following its release in July, “Gangnam Style” has racked up over 28 million hits on YouTube thus far.

The music video, with its infectious “horseback riding” choreography, has also attracted coverage from CNN and the Los Angeles Times along with tweeted praises and comments from American artists Josh Groban and T-Pain.
