Schneider Electric Korea said Monday that its CEO Kim Kyung-rog has been given the additional responsibility of overseeing Mongolian operations of the company.

Kim’s expanded duty will enable Schneider Electric to support Korean firms’ operations in Mongolia in energy development as well as power plants, railways, buildings and other social infrastructure projects. The France-based company established its Mongolian branch in 2013, focusing on the information technology service as well as energy infrastructure.

“Since advancing into the Korean market in 1975, Schneider Electric has partnered with local companies for their global expansion in settling electricity infrastructure and automation. We will continue our endeavors in supporting Korean companies expanding to Mongolia,” Kim stated.

Kim started his career at Schneider Electric in 2000 as a sales engineer. Before that, he worked for ABB.
