The Gwangju International Center will run a beach tour to Imjado Island, part of the Sinan County archipelago off the southwestern coast.

The tour will visit the Muan Ecological Tidal Flat Center on the way to step out onto the mud flats and learn about the animals that inhabit them. Also at the center, each participant will have the chance to cook skewers of octopus caught nearby for a snack before moving on to Sinan County itself.

Before catching the ferry to Imjado Island there will be a stop for some spicy fish stew at a waterside restaurant.

The group will then check into a pension before moving onto the beach to relax and have a barbecue.

The group will return to Gwangju the next morning, after breakfast.

The tour leaves from Gwangju at 9 a.m. and costs 110,000 won for GIC members, 130,000 won for nonmembers and 70,000 won for preschoolers, inclusive of meals, transport and insurance.
