Released in June last year, "Hangover" hit the milestone at about 3:15 p.m., proving its long-running popularity, according to YG Entertainment.
Psy's global mega-hit single "Gangnam Style" garnered more than 2.3 billion views and the follow-up single "Gentleman" about 836 million views as of Wednesday. "Hangover" was the most-viewed K-pop music video for 2014 on YouTube.
The "Hangover" video, which was shot in Seoul, depicts South Korea's drinking culture and nightlife. In the video, Psy and American hip-hop star Snoop Dogg have drinks to cure their hangovers and visit some late-night hangouts such as a karaoke room, a convenience store and a billiard hall. (Yonhap)
