Incheon International Airport won the top spot in the prestigious Airport Service Quality survey for the 10th consecutive year from 2005, the company said Monday.

A total of 1,800 airports across the world participated in the 2015 ASQ survey conducted by the Airports Council International.

According to the council, Incheon International Airport scored 4.97 points out of 5.

Singapore Changi Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport were placed second and third, respectively.

The survey evaluates airport services that are offered in seven categories, including hospitality, hygiene and facility management.

“Incheon Airport distinguished itself from other competitors last year by introducing a smart system for better passenger processing services and improving accessibility to the airport through public transportation,” an airport official said.

The airport was also named as the global top performer in the categories of “Best Airport in Asia-Pacific” and “Best Airport for more than 40 million passengers.”

In a related development, Gimpo International Airport was ranked first in the category of “best midsized airport with passenger capacity between 15 and 25 million.” It is the fifth year for the Korean airport to achieve this result.
