Korea’s leading cable company LS Industrial Systems said Wednesday that it was listed among the world’s 100 most innovative companies for a fourth consecutive year by Thomson Reuters, a global financial news and information provider.

“We are honored to have received this award for the fourth time as an acknowledgement of our efforts to improve corporate innovation and intellectual property capacity to compete in the global market,” LSIS vice chairman and CEO Koo Ja-kyun said.

First launched in 2011, the list has been compiled on patent-related criteria such as patent approval success rate, global reach of patent portfolio and overall patent volume.

Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics were also on the list.
