After a plethora of teaser images by YG Entertainment asking “Who Is Next?” fans finally got their answer as the agency revealed on Sunday that Big Bang’s Taeyang is the next YG artist who will be making his return.

However, despite confirming Taeyang’s upcoming release, the announcement, which included an image that said “Taeyang Rise,” still teases fans with lingering questions, tauntingly asking “Is Rise the name of the album?” and “Will this be a full studio album?” Although it is still unclear whether the upcoming release will be an EP or full album, Taeyang is scheduled to drop something new on June 2.

“It’s been seven months since Taeyang last returned to his fans and we are hoping to show a new side of him,” said the official press release. “We hope fans are anticipating the new change in his music, style and stage presence.”

Last November Taeyang unveiled his latest hit single, “Ringa Linga,” which was his first solo single in more than three years. The dance/hip-hop track went on to not only top the local real-time charts but was seated at the No. 1 spot on the iTunes singles charts in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam and Macau.
