Seo, the media-shy enfant terrible of Korean hard rock and one of the most prominent cultural icons of the ‘90s, is famous for leading a secretive life in foreign countries. But it seems like the musician is returning home for good, according to his Christmas message to his fans.

“I’ve been doing very well, and very busy,” Seo wrote on his website on Christmas Eve. “I’m especially excited to move into my new house with my family.”

Seo reportedly purchased land in Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul, in 2010, and started building a house there.

“After wandering around here and there, I’m practically settling down,” Seo wrote. “I know this may be too late, but I want to be good to my parents (from now on).”

Seo shocked the local public last year after it was revealed that he and actress E Ji-ah were in a divorce suit and had been secretly married since 1997.

According to his local agency, Seo is currently in the U.S. and hasn’t notified them about his date of arrival in Korea.

서태지, 국내 정착 의사 밝혀

그동안 주로 해외에 머물던 가수 서태지가 국내 에 정착할 뜻을 밝혔다고 서태지닷컴이 26일 전했다. 

이에 따르면 서태지는 지난 24일 밤 이 사이트에 올린 '김치 크리스마스'란  제 목의 글을 통해 팬들에게 크리스마스 인사를 건네면서 "요즘은 가족들과 새집에서 오순도순 지낼 생각에 기대에 부풀어 있다"고 말했다.

가족과 함께 살기 위해 종로구 평창동에 신축 중인 개인 주택에 대한 기대를 드 러냈다는 것이다.

서태지는 "여기저기 떠돌다가 나름 한국에서 정착(?)을 하게 되는 셈"이라면서 "너무 늦긴 했지만 쬐끔(조금)이라도 효도해야지"라고 덧붙였다.

서태지컴퍼니는 "서태지는 현재 미국에 머물고 있으며, 아직 귀국 일정을  통보 받은 바 없다. 활동 계획 역시 정해진 바가 없다"고 말했다.
