A new hotel program in the Netherlands offers guests a clean, speedy break-up with their spouses, the BBC reported.

In the “divorce hotel,” couples can relax at the bar or in the sauna before meeting with their mediators.

Mediators and psychologists with the programs say it allows their clients to settle their differences and “pick up their lives again” within three days. Hotel psychologist Veneta Brummel said contrary to common belief, the divorce is just like an “ah-ha” moment.

The hotel claims that couples all over the world seek its services to avoid anger and irritation that comes from a long, dragging divorce.

Henk, a client with the program, said he checked into the hotel because he did not want to go through the “slaughter” he had experienced in his previous divorce, and expressed satisfaction with its services.

“We wanted to come in as friends and come out as friends… We’re still very good friends,” he said.

There are disputes about whether couples that once vowed to stay together for life should be allowed such a quick exit.

Several religious organizations criticized the hotel for offering high speed divorces, saying marriage is “fundamental to our society and is worth fighting for.”
