The Colorful Daegu Pre-Championship Meeting 2010, to be held on May 19th, has been elevated and included in the IAAF World Challenge League.

This meeting will be held as the fourth of the 14 meetings that comprise this season’s league. Many world-renowned athletics stars will be participating.
First of all, the men’s 100 m heat will be the focus of public attention since the world-record holder for the men’s 100 m and 200 m, Jamaica’s Usain Bolt (9.58 seconds and 19.19 seconds, respectively), and his competitors, Travis Padgett (9.89 seconds for 100m) and Mike Rogers (9.94 seconds for 100m), who are the US team will be participating.

In the female’s 100 m heat, the fastest female athlete alive today, Carmelita Jeter (US), who recorded 10.67 seconds in the World Athletics Final held in September of last year, and broke the record one week later at the Shanghai Super Grand Prix, with a time of 10.64 seconds, will be attending. Also in attendance will be the 200 m Beijing Olympic gold medalist, Jamaica’s Veronica Campbell-Brown (10.85 seconds); therefore, it will be a female short-distance battle between the US and Jamaica.

Meanwhile, in the men’s 110 m hurdles, world-record holder and Beijing Olympic gold medalist, Cuba’s Dayron Robles (12.87 seconds), and his competitors, the US’s Beijing Olympic silver and bronze medalists, David Payne (13.02 seconds) and David Oliver (12.95 seconds), will be participating.

In the female’s 100 m hurdles, the match between the US’s beautiful sports anchorwomen, Lolo Jones, and her fellow countrywoman and fierce rival, Dawn Harper, will be attracting the world’s attention.
