Their first collaboration in three years blends poetic emotion with powerful charisma

BTS and Epik High's leaders are teaming up once again.
Tablo of Epik High, one of the most influential hip-hop groups in South Korea, will release the new collaborative single “Stop The Rain” with BTS’s RM on May 2.
On Thursday, Tablo posted a teaser for the track via his official social media accounts. The video features the sound of rainfall accompanied by the voices of both artists, alongside symbolic visuals of two playing cards — one depicting a falling angel and the other a crying character holding an umbrella.
“Stop The Rain” was recorded two years ago and combines Tablo’s signature emotional lyricism with RM’s deep, charismatic voice. This marks their first collaboration since RM’s solo album "Indigo" in 2022, where Tablo featured on the track “All Day.” The rhythmic track used chipmunk sampling — a technique that manipulates the speed of R&B and soul vocals — to freely adjust the pitch and tempo of the sampled voice.
Last year, Tablo and Epik High garnered attention with their October album "Pump Collector’s Edition" and its main track, “Michelin Cypher.”
Although currently serving in the military since December 2023, RM remains a powerful force in the K-pop scene. Alongside fellow BTS member Jimin, he was nominated for “Favorite K-Pop Artist” at the American Music Awards, demonstrating the group's enduring global influence. RM is expected to be discharged on June 10.
