The 1-meter-long mammal, which was identified as a type of Eurasian otter, was spotted in the storage area of the store Wednesday night. The rescue team captured the otter by using a net and sent it to a wildlife treatment center.

The center plans to release the exhausted otter into the wild after it recovers. Wildlife experts told the Yonhap News Agency that the otter might have come to the city to find food and shelter.
