Legendary singer-songwriter Elton John is coming to Korea next month for an intimate concert.

The Grammy-winning artist will be putting up a one-night only performance on Nov. 27 at Hyundai Card Understage in Seoul‘s Hannam-dong, a venue that seats up to 500 people. The show, which is part of John’s currently running world tour “All the Hits,” is the only one on such a small scale, providing the audience with a rare opportunity to experience the celebrated musician’s performance up close.

“This is an unprecedented concert,” commented a representative from Hyundai Card. “Barring his early days, John has very rarely played such small shows.”

Also featured on stage will be Davey Johnstone (guitar), Matt Bissonette (bass), Kim Ballard (keyboard), John Mahon (percussion) and Nigel Olsson (drums), top-class performers who have long been playing alongside John.

Since his 1969 debut, the British music sensation has sold over 250 million copies of his albums and participated in the soundtracks of hit films and musicals such as “Lion King,” “Billy Elliott” and “Aida.” John is a five-time winner of the Grammy Award and recipient of the Tony, Oscar and Brit awards. John was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1998.

Tickets will be available on Interpark (http://ticket.interpark.com) from noon on Oct. 15 at 200,000 won ($174) per person. Details can be found at http://understage.hyundaicard.com.
