[Monitor] Imported car sales sink on Volkswagen scandal

Sales of imported cars in Korea dropped 2.6 percent on-year in the first half of this year mainly due to Volkswagen‘s emission-rigging scandal, industry data showed Wednesday. According to the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association, a total of 116,800 foreign brand cars were sold during that period.
