KB Kookmin Card Co. has launched a two-track Chuseok holiday promotion with lucky-draws and cash-back points, the company said on Tuesday.
The card company will randomly select 918 of its credit card users and grant them a variety of free gifts, such as gas coupons, department store gift cards, travel gift cards or extra points.
The card users can try their luck at either the online event zone at www.kbcard.com, or on the card firm’s mobile app. Eligible applicants must have a card payment history of at least 300,000 won ($270).
Users of KB Kookmin Industrial Card, KB Kookmin BC Industrial Card and pre-paid cards are excluded from the Chuseok promotions.

The lucky-draw promotion will be held in three categories: transportation for reunion, shopping for ancestral ritual and holiday relaxation. Each applicant can participate in only one of the three.
In the transportation lucky-draw, two grand-prize winners and six second-prize winners will be granted gas coupons of 1 million won and 500,000 won, respectively, while 300 third-prize winners will each be given 10,000 credits, which can be used like cash, worth 10,000 won.
The ancestral ritual lucky-draw and the holiday relaxation promotion will be awarded under the same conditions, except that top-prize winners and second-prize winners of the former will be delivered gift cards for department stores, and the latter free travel gift cards.
On top of the Chuseok lucky-draw event, KB Kookmin Card offers “Rich Chuseok, Rich Cashback” to 900 check card users.
Card users with a payment history of 100,000 won or more are eligible for the event, which also runs from Aug. 19 to Sept. 30 online and on the KB Kookmin Card mobile app.
The company will randomly pick 10 top-prize winners, 20 second-prize winners and 870 third-prize winners. Winners will be granted free cash-back points worth 500,000 won, 200,000 won and 10,000 won, respectively.
