He also met the top management of London-based global financial institutions including the Royal Bank of Scotland to discuss ways to cooperate with KB Kookmin.

Min plans to visit KB Kookmin branches in China, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia and Kazakhstan from June to July and make efforts to expand partnerships with local financial institutions.

“KB Kookmin has made significant progress in improving the bank’s financial health and bolstering domestic sales so far. The chief executive’s trips are a way of showing that the bank will pay more attention to its overseas business to secure future sources of profit and growth engines,” a KB Kookmin official said.
