German police protection from sex-mad wife

BERLIN, (AFP) - A desperate Turkish man living in Germany has turned to the police for protection from his insatiable wife's constant demands for sex, authorities said on Wednesday.

The man came to his local police station in southwestern Germany on Tuesday
saying that he had been sleeping on the sofa for the past four years to escape
the clutches of his wife of 18 years and mother of their two children.

"Now he has decided to get a divorce and to move out... in the hope of finally getting some rest, particularly as he is anxious to arrive at work well rested," police said in a statement.

"At the moment this is impossible because he says his wife keeps coming into the living room demanding that he perform his marital duties. He asked for police help in getting some sleep at night."

AFP통신은 26일(현지시간) 독일에 사는 한 터키 남성이 경찰에 보호 신청을 했다고 보도했다. 이 남성은 아내의 만족할 줄 모르는 지속적인 섹스 요구를 더 이상 감당할 수가 없다고 말했다.

그는 지난 25일 독일 남서부에 있는 지역 경찰서로 가서 “18년 간이나 지속된 두 아이의 엄마인 아내로 벗어나기 위해 최근 4년 간 소파에서 잤다”며 “이혼을 하고 떠날 결심을 했다. 이제 휴식을 취할 수 있다는 희망, 특히 편히 쉬고 출근하고 싶은 마음이 간절해 거실에서 자게 됐다”고 말했다.

하지만 그는 “아내가 부부생활의 의무를 실행하라며 거실로 계속 오고 있어 거실에서 자는 것마저도 불가능하게 됐다”고 말했다.

결국 그는 경찰에 밤에 잠을 좀 잘 수 있도록 해달라고 요구했다.
