New Zealand won't be joining talks between Australia and Papua New Guinea about a potential security treaty. Papua New Guinea and Australia are drafting an agreement, following Foreign Minister Penny Wong’s visit to the country last week. Papua New Guinea’s Foreign Minister had flagged New Zealand may be included, but its Foreign Minister says there the country doesn't see the need for a new arrangement.
