President Lee Jae Myung is poised to receive Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and East Timor's President Jose Ramos-Horta in the coming week.

Lee is set to meet Erdogan Tuesday for a bilateral meeting, an MOU signing ceremony and a state lunch hosted by Lee. Erdogan will be in South Korea from Monday to Wednesday on a state visit, Cheong Wa Dae chief spokesperson Kang Yu-jung said Sunday.

This will mark Erdogan's first visit to South Korea in eight years. Lee and Erdogan last held a bilateral meeting in November 2025 in Ankara, Turkey.

The two countries will mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2027.

Meanwhile, Lee will meet Ramos-Horta on Friday, alongside an official lunch hosted by Lee and a joint press conference. Ramos-Horta will be on an official visit to the country from Thursday to Saturday.

Ramos-Horta will become the first East Timorese leader to visit South Korea since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 2002, the year East Timor achieved independence.
