Twin exhibitions connect global franchise and coffee brands with opportunities in Vietnam
South Korean convention and exhibition organizer Coex opened two international trade shows in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on Thursday, bringing together 147 companies from 10 countries to explore business opportunities in the country's franchise and coffee markets.
The Vietnam International Franchise Show 2026 and Coffee Expo Vietnam 2026 are being held simultaneously through Saturday at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center, featuring a combined 430 booths.
The franchise exhibition brings together major brands, including Vietnamese restaurant chain Pho24, Highlands Coffee and Chinese ice cream and beverage chain Mixue, alongside businesses from Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia and India.
The event aims to connect international franchise operators with prospective partners and buyers seeking opportunities in Vietnam. A networking session and the Vietnam International Franchise Show Summit will cover global franchise trends, emerging business models and market entry strategies.
Meanwhile, Coffee Expo Vietnam marks its 10th edition this year, with Indonesia selected as its first guest country.
The Colombian Embassy is also participating, showcasing the South American country's coffee heritage and culture.
The coffee exhibition seeks to strengthen ties among international producers, distributors and buyers across the coffee supply chain.
Its programs include the Grand Coffee Challenge, hands-on coffee experiences and workshops examining coffee-producing regions and global market trends.
Coex said this year's exhibitions place greater emphasis on international participation and business networking as it seeks to strengthen the events' role as platforms connecting overseas companies with the Vietnamese market.
"This year, we focused on expanding international participation and strengthening exchanges between countries to enhance the exhibitions' global competitiveness," said Coex CEO Jo Sang-hyeon.
"We will continue to strengthen our role as a global business platform where companies and buyers can discover new opportunities for cooperation," he added.
