Jeju tulips at Boromwat

Check out this tulip festival at Boromwat on Jeju Island. This village on the island’s east touts truckloads of tulips in shades of red, yellow and pink.

A 6,000 won entry fee is all it takes to relish the flower beds, open through April 13. Visitors can spot sheep at a nearby farm.

A space is dedicated to canola flowers on the compound that also has a cafe. The village is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Strawberry picking at Yulbom

The freshest possible strawberries are waiting to be picked at Yulbom, a botanical garden in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.

Visitors have 30 minutes to pick up to a kilogram of strawberries at market price. Making a 600 milliliter bottle of strawberry jelly or a 500 gram jar of strawberry jam costs 16,000 won.

A 5,000 won admission fee for the garden is separate. Reservations should be made at yulbom1107.modoo.at.

Cherry blossoms at E-world

Cherry blossom season has already begun at E-world in Daegu. Come see trees bursting with white and pink petals, with amusement park rides on the side.

An all-inclusive pass to E-world is priced at 49,000 won through Sunday.

Passes, available online, grant not only access to Blossom Road and other attractions, but discounts on drinks at an observatory cafe.

Spring blooms at Hwadam

Online reservations are open for Hwadam, a botanical garden of spring flowers like daffodils, rosebay and plum blossoms in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.

Those with a reservation can visit the garden beloved for its walking trails and a monorail connecting major stops on the compound.

Hwadam is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., closed on Mondays. Adult admission is 11,000 won, and does not cover the monorail ride.

Yangjae Blossom Festival

A festival with everything — from cherry blossoms to live performances and food trucks — is running at the Yangjae Stream Waterside Stage between the First and Second Yeongdong bridges in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

Through May 25, visitors are welcome to drop by to enjoy illuminated paths lined with cherry blossom trees, opera singers, street performers and street food. Booths are selling handcrafts, traditional and modern.
