K-pop star to drop new solo LP in February

G-Dragon of Big Bang is set to hold a solo concert in Seoul at the end of March, marking his first show as a soloist in nearly eight years since his "Act III, M.O.T.T.E" world tour in June 2017.
The news was revealed by his bandmate Daesung, Saturday, during Taeyang’s encore concert, “Taeyang 2025 Tour ‘The Light Year’ Encore,” held at Inspire Arena in Incheon.
“There’s Taeyang’s concert in February and Yong’s (G-Dragon) in March,” Daesung told the audience. “As the youngest member, I felt like I couldn’t just stay still… so I might be holding my first solo concert in Korea soon as well.”
Last month, a local media outlet reported that G-Dragon is planning to release a full-length album in February and hold his solo concert in March.
Galaxy Corporation, G-Dragon's agency, has yet to confirm the K-pop star’s concert.
“It is true that we are looking for a concert venue, but nothing has been fixed (as to its date and location),” a Galaxy Corporation official had said earlier.
G-Dragon, who also made a surprise appearance at Taeyang’s concert Saturday along with Daesung, did not comment further on the matter.
G-Dragon's upcoming album is expected to include his latest singles, “Power” and “Home Sweet Home,” released in October and November, last year, though the main track has yet to be announced.
G-Dragon’s last solo studio album was “Coup d’Etat” in 2012, featuring tracks such as “Crooked,” “Who You?” and “Black.”
