Im Hyunsik of BTOB ranked No. 10 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart with “See The Light,” said agency BTOB Company Friday citing the latest chart.

“See The Light” is part of the original soundtrack for the “When The Phone Rings” TV series, which began airing in November last year. Riding on the success of the thriller drama series, the single has climbed up the digital sales chart and made top 10.

Meanwhile, four members of BTOB – Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Im Hyunsik and Peniel -- held their Be Alright concert in Seoul in the last week of 2024, celebrating the year-end with fans. The concert takes its name from the second song released as part of the band's Becoming Project, where songs released one at a time will eventually form a new album.

SHINee’s Key donates 50m won to children’s hospital

Key of SHINee donated 50 million won ($34,000) to a children’s hospital last week, according to Kyungpook National University Children’s Hospital Friday.

The veteran idol’s mother works as a head nurse at the hospital and was present at the ceremony to accept the donation.

Key is a member of the band that debuted in 2008. He, along with bandmate Minho, appeared in HUT Transmedia KE-23, a major year-end show held in Jakarta last month.

The band marked their 15th anniversary of debut with their eighth LP “Hard” in June last year, while Key dropped his third solo EP “Pleasure Shop” in September. "Hard" topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 43 regions and his EP topped the chart in 21.

Blackpink’s Jisoo to spend birthday quietly

Jisoo of Blackpink will celebrate her birthday, which falls on Friday, without fanfare this year.

She told fans that she has decided to postpone uploading content created for the occasion out of respect for the victims of the Muan plane crash and their loved ones, via agency Blissoo on Dec. 31.

The singer and actor will star as a female lead in eight-part zombie series "Newtopia," which premieres next month. She will make a silver screen debut in "Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint," a movie adaptation of a fantasy webtoon, that comes to cinemas this summer.

As early as May, she is expected to make a comeback as a member of Blackpink.

Separately, the group logged 300 million views on YouTube with the performance video for “As If It’s Your Last” last week. It is the group’s eighth dance video to reach the milestone. The dance tune was released as a digital single in 2017 and topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 74 regions.
