Education and police are set to receive additional funding following a whirlwind visit by the Prime Minister to central Australia. But the Prime Minister left the region without making a commitment to needs-based funding for domestic violence in the Northern Territory. It's a move some advocates say is disappointing given the national attention on gendered violence and the long-running calls for extra resources in a part of the country plagued by the issue.
