Jung Chang-soo, 56, former vice minister of land, transport and maritime affairs, took office as the fifth chief executive officer of Incheon International Airport Corp. on Tuesday.
Jung will take over responsibilities for the third stage of the airport’s expansion, including a second passenger terminal, development of a special business zone near the airport, and overseas airport projects.
“I will concentrate on investment and innovation and try to set a good example for other state-funded enterprises,” he said. “I will also keep Incheon International Airport in the world’s top class.”
He began his career as a public servant in 1979, and served as vice minister of land, transport and maritime affairs from August 2010 to May 2011.
