CI Guarantee showcased its overseas construction guarantee services at the Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference 2026, marking its fourth consecutive appearance at the international infrastructure event.
Hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and organized by the International Contractors Association of Korea, the conference — which ran Tuesday to Thursday — brings together global project owners, multilateral development banks and construction companies to discuss infrastructure cooperation and support overseas project development.
During the event, CI Guarantee operated a consultation booth for Korean construction companies where it provided information on guarantee options for overseas projects and procedures for issuing international guarantees.
The organization also presented its track record and operating system for overseas guarantees as it sought to expand support for Korean contractors entering foreign markets.
Through one-on-one business meetings with international project owners, CI Guarantee exchanged information on projects involving Korean companies and discussed market developments across the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
The organization has built a SWIFT-based system for issuing overseas guarantees and currently works with 14 domestic and international financial institutions to support bank guarantee issuance. The institution said its outstanding overseas guarantee balance exceeded 4 trillion won as of the first half of 2026.
“We will continue to strengthen our stability and expertise as a global guarantee institution and expand our overseas guarantee capabilities to provide practical support for Korean companies pursuing construction projects abroad,” said Choi Woon-ku, acting chairman of CI Guarantee.
