BTS exceeded 1.6 billion views on YouTube with its music video for “Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)” as of Wednesday, Big Hit Music announced Thursday.
It is the group’s fourth music video to reach the threshold, after “Dynamite,” “Boy with Luv (feat. Halsey),” and “DNA.”
The remix dropped in November 2017, about two months after the track was released as part of its fifth EP “Love Yourself: Her.” The Steve Aoki version landed on Billboard’s Hot 100 at No. 28 and enjoyed a ten-week stay on the chart. On the iTunes Top Songs chart, it was No. 1 in 60 regions.
The group's fifth studio album, “Arirang,” ranked No. 29 on Billboard 200 in the 25th week. It stayed atop the main albums chart for three consecutive weeks.
