Main Ingredients:

  • 10–15 chestnuts
  • 2 cups rice
  • 2 cups water

Seasoning Ingredients:

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Peel the chestnuts.

Rinse the rice thoroughly and drain it in a colander.

(Tip: If you soak the rice beforehand, you will get a softer, more tender texture.)

Add the soaked rice, water, chestnuts and salt to a pot. Bring it to a boil over high heat. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 15-20 minutes.

Turn off the heat and let the rice steam, covered, for about 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
