"That hits the spot!"
Koreans use exclamations more often than most English speakers, and this is a common one: "Ah, that's so refreshing!" works, but we typically only use it with cool things. If you want one for warmer things, massages etc. "That hits the spot!" is a colloquial idiom that works.
한국인은 영어권 화자보다 감탄사를 더 자주 사용하는 편인데, “시원하다” 역시 그중 하나로 볼 수 있습니다. "Ah, that's so refreshing! (아, 정말 시원하다!)"라고 하면 통하지만, 영어세는 보통 차가운 것에만 이 표현을 씁니다. 마사지처럼 덜 차가운 것에도 어울릴 만한 표현을 원한다면, "That hits the spot! (딱 좋다!/바로 이거지!)"이라는 구어적 관용구를 쓸 수 있습니다.
"Well that's a load off"
In situations where you get physical relief from something uncomfortable — something hot or itchy or achy — you might say: “Oh, what a relief” or “That’s such a relief!” If you get emotional relief from a stressful situation — you finally finished a big project at work or you were in the middle of a frustrating conflict and finally worked things out — you could use one of those expressions or an alternative is: “Well, that’s a load off.”
뜨겁거나 가렵거나 쑤시는 것처럼 불편한 무언가에서 신체적으로 벗어나는 상황에서는 "Oh, what a relief (아, 살 것 같다)"나 "That's such a relief! (정말 후련하다!)"라고 말할 수 있습니다. 스트레스받는 상황에서 감정적으로 해방되는 경우 — 직장에서 큰 프로젝트를 드디어 끝냈거나, 답답한 갈등을 겪던 중 마침내 문제를 풀어냈다면 — 앞의 표현들을 쓸 수도 있고, 아니면 다른 표현으로 "Well, that's a load off (아, 한시름 놓았다)"가 있습니다.
"Comforting"
When not using an expression or an idiom, getting a massage or soaking in a hot tub can be described as “relaxing.” As Paul said, “refreshing” is generally used for cool things such as an ice cold beer, a bowl of naengmyeon or a dip in the pool. There isn’t really an equivalent English adjective to describe the experience of eating hot soup in the summer, but hot soup or stew enjoyed in the winter is often called “comforting.”
