Eco-friendly cars account for half of new car registrations in H1
친환경 차량이 상반기 신차 등록 대수의 절반 차지해
Eco-friendly vehicles accounted for half of new car registrations in South Korea in the first half of this year, driven by a sharp increase in electric vehicle sales, an auto market tracker said.
자동차 시장 조사기관에 따르면 올해 상반기 한국의 신차 등록 대수 중 절반이 친환경 차량으로, 전기차 판매 급증에 힘입은 것으로 나타났다.
It marked the first time eco-friendly vehicles accounted for more than half of new car registrations in the January-June period, according to the CarIsYou Data Research Center, which cited government data.
자동차 전문 데이터 조사기관인 카라이즈유는 정부 자료를 인용해 1월부터 6월까지 신차 등록 대수 중 친환경 차량이 절반 이상을 차지한 것은 이번이 처음이라고 밝혔다.
In the first six months of the year, registrations of eco-friendly vehicles — including battery electric, gasoline hybrid and hydrogen fuel-cell models — totaled 429,163 units, accounting for 50.4 percent of the 851,833 newly registered vehicles, the data showed.
자료에 의하면 올해 상반기 친환경 차량(배터리 전기차, 가솔린 하이브리드차, 수소연료전지차 등) 등록 대수는 총 429,163대로, 신규 등록 차량 851,833대의 50.4%를 차지했다.
The share of eco-friendly vehicles has risen steadily from 9.1 percent in 2020 to 25.5 percent in 2023 and 38.5 percent in 2025.
친환경 차량의 비중은 2020년 9.1%에서 2023년 25.5%, 2025년 38.5%로 꾸준히 증가할 것으로 예상된다.
