1. roll call = 출석 확인
The supervisor did a roll call before the safety training began.
관리자는 안전 교육이 시작되기 전에 출석 확인을 했다.
roll call은 이름을 하나씩 불러 참석 여부를 확인하는 것이다.
2. underwrite = 자금을 지원하다 / 보험을 인수하다
A local bank agreed to underwrite the city’s summer music festival.
한 지역 은행이 시의 여름 음악 축제에 자금을 지원하기로 했다.
underwrite는 보험에서는 “인수하다/보장하다”, 행사·사업·프로젝트에서는 “자금을 지원하다”라는 뜻으로 쓰인다.
3. be entitled to = ~할 자격이 있다
① be entitled to + 동사원형
All full-time employees are entitled to receive paid vacation.
모든 정규직 직원은 유급 휴가를 받을 자격이 있다.
② be entitled to + 명사

고객은 30일 이내에 전액 환불을 받을 자격이 있다.
