Samsung Wallet remains Korea’s top payments app
삼성 월렛, 한국 결제 앱 1위 유지
Samsung Wallet retained its position as South Korea’s most-used mobile payments app in May, attracting more than 19 million monthly active users, while major rivals such as Kakao Pay, KB Pay and Naver Pay posted record user numbers, intensifying competition in the fast-growing digital payments market.
삼성 월렛이 5월 기준 1900만명의 사용자를 모으며 한국에서 가장 많이 사용되는 결제 앱 1위 자리를 지켰다. 주요 경쟁자인 카카오페이, KB페이, 네이버페이는 사상 최대의 사용자 수를 기록하며 빠르게 성장하는 디지털 결제 시장의 경쟁을 더욱 치열하게 하고 있다.
According to market tracker Wiseapp Retail Goods, Samsung Wallet recorded 19.04 million monthly active users in May, maintaining a wide lead over competitors.
시장 조사기관 와이즈앱 리테일에 따르면, 삼성 월렛은 5월 1,904만명의 월간 이용자 수를 기록하며 경쟁자들에 대해 강한 우위를 유지했다.
Kakao Pay ranked second with 11.87 million users, followed by KB Pay with 10.37 million and Shinhan SOL Pay with 8.19 million.
카카오페이는 이용자수 1,187만명으로 2위에 등극했고, 1,037만명의 KB페이, 819만명의 신한 SOL페이가 이를 뒤따랐다.
Among the major payment platforms, Kakao Pay, KB Pay, Naver Pay and NH Pay each reached their highest monthly user counts since launch, reflecting growing consumer adoption of mobile payment services.
주요 결제 플랫폼 중 카카오페이, KB페이, 네이버페이, 그리고 NH페이는 출시 이후 월간 이용자수 최대치를 기록하며 모바일 결제 서비스 이용자수 증가를 반영했다.
