Overseas voting for South Korea's June 3 presidential election kicked off Tuesday in 118 countries.
A student in Auckland, the biggest city in New Zealand, became the first Korean voter to cast her ballot in this election cycle, as the polling station opened at 8 a.m. there, which is 5 a.m. Korean time, due to the time difference.

Some 260,000 South Koreans residing overseas are eligible to vote in the overseas voting period, which continues to Sunday.
