
Icheon Ceramic Festival
The annual Icheon Ceramic Festival is underway at Yes Park in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province.
Icheon is a UNESCO Creatvive City of Crafts and Folk Arts renowned for its ceramics. Some 600 animal-themed ceramic pieces are on display with hands-on programs.
The festival ends on May 6. Admission is free.

Spring festival in Yangjae
A festival featuring everything from spring blossoms to live performances and food trucks is taking place at the Yangjae Stream Waterside Stage, between the First and Second Yeongdong bridges in Seocho-gu, Seoul, through May 25.
Visitors can stroll along illuminated paths lined with cherry blossom trees, enjoy performances by opera singers and street artists, and sample street foods. Booths are also set up selling both traditional and modern handicrafts.

Gwangju Royal Ceramic Festival
The Gwangju Royal Ceramic Festival is running at Gonjiam Ceramic Park in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, through May 6.
The free annual event features programs, including exhibitions and music performances. Visitors can try their hand at pottery making.
The nearby Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum is recommended for those more interested in ceramics. Museum admission fees apply.

Han River guided tours
Free guided tours of historic sites in and around the Han River in Seoul are available through November.
Tours begin daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at 16 locations, evenly divided between the north and south sides of the river.
Reservations must be made at least five days in advance at visit-hangang.seoul.kr. A confirmation text message will be sent upon reservation.

Gochang barley festival
The annual Green Barley Festival is taking place at Hagwon Farm in Gochang, North Jeolla Province, through May 11.
Music performances — ranging from the traditional folk art “nongak” to classical and jazz — are held amid the scenic barley fields.
Children can join in treasure hunts. Admission and parking are free.
