Company to provide support for Live Club Day festival

Kakao Entertainment has announced plans to continue supporting indie music culture by hosting an indie music festival.
Through the Kakao Creation Foundation, Kakao Entertainment said it will hold the Live Club Day music festival six times this year. The Kakao Creation Foundation is a cultural and sports foundation established by Kakao Entertainment under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, running programs such as an online creative academy and initiatives to provide spaces for creators.
Live Club Day will grant concertgoers access to performances by a range of indie artists at different venues in Seoul’s Hongdae area with a single ticket. This year marks the event's 10th anniversary.
The 71st Live Club Day will be held on Feb. 28, featuring performances by indie artists such as Leenalchi, Idiotape, Broccoli, you too? and Danpyunsun. The concerts will be staged at six venues around the Hongdae area, including Prism Hall, Veloso Hongdae and Musinsa Garage. Dates for events after February will be announced later.
Kakao Entertainment, which owns the major domestic music platform Melon, has been regularly supporting the Live Club Day festival. Melon has been involved in the festival since February 2023, recruiting artists for performances and planning collaborations. Since May of last year, the Kakao Creation Foundation has been providing support for venue rentals and artist performance fees.
Tickets are priced at 40,000 won, and all venues are open to teenagers. However, access to venues may be temporarily restricted for safety reasons to prevent overcrowding.
